The Book of Beasts; Medieval Bestiaries

Join me as we discuss what a bestiary is & the role it played in medieval culture. We will be covering many of the most famous books that are known & look at many of the critters found within those bound pages. We will discuss why things were drawn the way they were, as well as the myths & legends...I mean, well known facts about each animal. There will be a hands on project at the end (no artistic talent needed) Students will provided with a link to a full-resolution gallery of images used in this class.
