This class will discuss who wore this iconic 12th century garment, in what context, and how it might have been made. By clarifying the parameters in which the bliaut existed, I have created a working theory of design and construction techniques that I look forward to sharing with you. We won’t have time to go over pattern drafting in depth, but the class and handout will give you a starting point to work from.
