Portrait Drawing in the Style of Hans Holbein (part 2 of 2)

Note: This class is from 1:00 PM until 2:50 PM. There is no break in the middle of this class
We will discus Hans Holbein's drawings & drawing of the human head. After a quick exercise to get the creative juices flowing we will draw a portrait from a live model with modern materials. Then we will draw a portrait from a live model with some of the materials used in the late Renaissance. There will be discussion and assistance for the drawings.
Students should bring sketchbooks or drawing paper no smaller than 8.5"x11" (no copier or computer paper please), drawing pencils, erasers, hand pencil sharpeners. I will have gessoed paper & red drawing chalk for the final drawing. I will bring materials & sell them at cost if you forget yours.
