Volunteers are the lifeblood of the SCA, and we seem to have an inexhaustible need for them! Let’s discuss how recruit, train, and support these incredible resources in ways that motivate and recognize them. We’ll also emphasize the importance of creating and leading a culture that values and encourages service.
Master Arontius of Bygelswade (MKA M. Aaron Rogers) resides in the Barony of Dragon’s Laire in Kitsap County, WA and has been an active member of the SCA since 1987 (thirty--three years). He has autocratted (event stewarded) kingdom events, including Twelfth Night, July Coronation, September Crown (twice), Kingdom Arts and Sciences Championship (twice), as well as a number of local events, including four June Faire demo events between 1999 and 2014. He has been a member of the June Faire Board since its inception. He’s held offices of Kingdom Chronicler and Exchequer, and Branch Seneschal, Exchequer, Chronicler, Herald (Book), Steward (Teamster), and Constable. He also represented Their Majesties as sitting Baron of Dragon’s Laire for four years.
