An Overview of Late 16th and Early 17th Century Sweet Bags

The purpose of this lecture is to introduce 16th and 17th century embroidered sweet bags, including dating methods of extant examples, design inspiration, process and materials used in their construction and embellishment, and to introduce new research I received on a sweet bag that was not previously available to the general public.
